CT10 - Corrosion Analyzer

A new instrumental approach for measurement of corroded surface area has been developed by AD Systems in which the exact percentage of corroded area is accurately determined by an automatic instrument reducing test subjectivity. The innovative CT10 instrument images the whole surface of the specimen. Operation is based on a homogeneous lighting source, CCD camera, specimen rotation system, and specially designed Windows CE® application software. The test can now be run unattended which reduces labor costs.

Tri Axial Press

One of the Sanchez Technologies instrument in rock mechanics is TriAxial Cell for Rock Deformation Measurement.

The interest of rock deformation studies in laboratory is to be able to control and to vary independently normal and tangential constraints, pore pressure and pore fluid chemistry, amplitude, frequency and dynamics disturbance duration, what the ST tri-axial press is capable. With it, it’s possible to concurrently measure sample deformation and quantify the damage and its influence on permeability. Furthermore, micro seismicity can be located through acoustic emission.

Compressibility of Rock, Acoustic Velocity and Pore Bulk System

The CAP is used for the measurement of rock compressibility, acoustic velocity and pores & bulk volume compressibility.

The system is based on a core holder triaxial type that works at reservoir with HP pumps for axial and radial stress.

Transducers fixed at the end of two Titanium pistons are used to propagate ultrasonic waves from the source to the receiver along the axis of confined cylindrical samples.

TXRF is founded on the same principles of the EDXRF with, however, one significant difference. In contrast to EDXRF, where the primary beam strikes the sample at an angle of 45°, TXRF uses a glancing angle of a few milliradians. Owing to this grazing incidence, the primary beam is totally reflected. By illuminating the sample with a beam that is being totally reflected, absorption of the beam in the supporting substrate is largely avoided and the associated scattering is greatly reduced.
